Kiran Deshpande has been a technology professional since 1978, having played a role in founding years of Indian software industry. Kiran has built and commercialized first time technologies for global usage. His experience combines 25 years in software services from as software engineer to CEO, and 18 years in a deep tech products startup. .
Kiran served as CEO of TechM from 1996 to 2001 during which the company grew significantly becoming a leading IT Services company. He co-founded Mojo Networks that invented WiFi intrusion prevention and cloud-based WiFi. His founding years were in TCS. Kiran is now a Board advisor, mentor and an angel investor.
Kiran has been TiE Pune Charter Member since 2009, served as its President for four years and is now a Global Trustee. Kiran played key role in the mentoring program at TiE Pune. Kiran is Director of 14Trees Foundation dedicated to reforestation of barren uncultivable land.
Kiran is a Senior Member IEEE, member ACM, an avid jogger and enjoys Hindustani classical music and photography.
